Course Description
Assessing vocational achievement level 3 helps teachers and assessors understand strategies and quality assurance procedures for assessment.
Assessing vocational achievement level 3 is for people who want to assess occupational competence in the workplace and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in places outside of the workplace such as training centres, colleges, workshops and classrooms.
Career Progression & Entry Requirements
Learners must be at least 19 years of age.
The possibilities for career progression after successfully completing this qualification include employment as an assessor of occupational competence in the workplace and vocationally related achievement in non-work environments.
The learner can go on to complete further training in the quality assurance of assessment process and practices or into a certificate in education and training.
Course Content
This course aims to provide the opportunity to develop the essential knowledge, skills and understanding that assessment staff need.
It covers:
- Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
- Assess occupational competence in the work environment
- Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
