Course Description

An Operations or Departmental Manager will have a high level of responsibility for managing teams and projects, with a direct line of sight of the organisational strategy. 

Usually accountable to a more senior manager, or the business owner, key responsibilities vary, but can include finance and resource management, delivering operational plans, managing teams, recruitment, managing change, and coaching. 

Typical job titles for this position include Operations Manager, Regional manager, and Department manager. 

Career Progression & Entry Requirements

Entry requirements vary according to the employer, but learners are typically required to have at least 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above. 

Learners will need to have Level 2 in both English and Maths (or approved equivalent). This must be completed before the completion of the apprenticeship.

Career progression at this level usually takes the form of promotion to a more senior management level, or a move to a larger organisation.
