Course Description
The Gym Instructing Level 2 qualification is designed to provide the knowledge, understanding and practical skills needed to work as a Gym Instructor in the sport and physical activity sector.
The information covered in this course will allow the learner to apply the principles of working in a gym environment. Anatomy and physiology, and how to consult on, plan and prepare Gym based exercise programmes.

Gym Instructing Level 2 can lead to employment or self-employment as a Gym Instructor as well as other potential roles such as Lifeguard, Membership Sales Consultant, Leisure Industry Sales Assistant, Sports Coach, Nutritionist, Gym Manager/Owner.

This comprehensive course aims to equip the learner with the skills, knowledge and understanding required to work as a Gym instructor.Â

- Anatomy and Physiology for Exercise
- Maximising the Customer Experience in a Gym Environment
- Supporting Client Health and Well Being
- Conducting Client Consultations and Gym Inductions
- Planning and Reviewing Gym-based Exercise Programmes
- Instructing and Supervising Gym-based Exercise Programmes

Professional Registration: Learners successfully completing this qualification will be able to gain entry to the CIMSPA Exercise and Fitness Directory as an Affiliate Member
